Easter on Maui
Friends always ask us about how people celebrate holidays on Maui. Being our first Easter here, we weren’t really sure what to expect. But we did quickly learn that there are a million Easter brunches to choose from at the resort restaurants, and a local dive shop hosts an underwater Easter egg hunt. (How cool is that?)
We chose to keep it simple. Instead of sporting an Easter bonnet and pastel dress (Michael…), we went for a Costco outfitted day at the beach. Yes, we have a Costco here. The place where you go in for 24 rolls of toilet paper and come out with patio furniture and a karaoke machine. We went in for beach towels and came out with the whole package. Towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler… Gotta love the Big “C”!
And we didn’t mean to leave out our friends at Wal-Mart. Don’t worry. We’ll be there tomorrow for your 50% off Easter candy. Mahalo!
Happy Easter everyone! We miss you.
